green eyed e.t.Posted by Rick (Toronto, Canada) on 15 June 2012 in Abstract & Conceptual. Being silly of course, but I did enjoy the "face" that appeared to me before I looked through these long-range binoculars on Toronto's Centre Island.

@Phil: Strapped to a boardwalk on lake Ontario, pretending to be a pair of long range binoculars, the alien visitor almost had them fooled... @l'Angevine: Dazzled by the lens flare that was actually "alien speak", she considered her options... @Curly: Ah, the timeless photography question... @Gérard Beullac: We have health care in Canada, just like France, and E.T. should become a citizen and get signed up! @Francisco Romero: It would have been fun to look through these, suddenly spotting kids on high flying bicycles over the lake... (thanks re the Spotlight!) @Phil Morris: On this day, I went to the Toronto Island because the clouds were fantastic and I wanted to enjoy the acreage of open space. By the time I got out there the clouds had all but blown away and I found myself taking photos of almost everything, ha! Fun is Mind. @grouser: We are here to banish fast food from the galaxy. @Universe: Thanks, though I must admit that personalized comments are more appealing than copy/paste ones. @Jason Politte: The little camera in our heads has a wonderful way of finding and framing snapshots within the weave of Life, and we attach recognition symbols so easily ;-) ... thanks for playing along, Jason! Have a great upcoming weekend. @Stephen: It would be a blast to have "full spectrum vision" available to our naked eyes whenever we wanted it, but in the meantime we can have a lot of fun with this very narrow band of photons that we perceive :-) - thanks, Stephen, and enjoy that weekend of yours in beautiful Australia. @grouser: You got it, pal. I'll even throw in a free air sickness bag! @Steven: Ah, the joys of middle age! Thanks for having a look, Steven. @Joyce: Yep. Definitely "har har" (grouser) and fun (the shot, I hope.) Thanks, Joyce. @Martine: Merci :-)) @Nicou: Je suis heureux que vous l'aimez, Nicou :-)) @Slackwater - Don: If I can be silly and innovative all at once, it's a good day! Cheers, Don. @Mhelene: I thank you. @Leigh: Yes, there is more a resemblance to him than the famous Spielberg "E.T.", though I meant it more in the general term of extraterrestrial. Thanks for the comment, Leigh. @Irene: Oh, the fun we can have with a pair of mounted binoculars ;-) (thanks, Irene) @RBL: I was angling for a bunch of lens flare, but this exceeded my expectations when I finally saw it at home. Thanks! @Baldwin VW: Thanks much. @B.Sully: Thanks very much for playing along with me on this one :-) @Judy aka L@dybug: Thanks, Judy... I was just thinking it must suck to have no eyelids! This poor green eyed thing... ;-) |
