@k@: I was squinting into this scene with warm sunlight kissing my face, and life was every bit the gift I know it to be as often as possible. Thanks for savouring, Karine ! @Doug: It certainly felt that way in person. Thanks a lot, Doug. @Mooie: I was taken by the starry sparkles across the two women kayaking, and wanted a shot of them alone but didn't get the opportunity. Too much traffic out there, just like the city streets :-) - thanks, Mooie. @Mhelene: I think atmosphere over composition, but I liked it enough to share. Thanks a lot. @L'Angevine: Merci. @Phil Morris: Kind feedback, always appreciated. I wanted the girls in the kayak to star in their own frame, but alas the opportunity wasn't presentable from my dockside vantage point as the ferry was pulling in. A beautiful day, though, with fresh breezes and many happy people enjoying nature. @Nigel: I'm pleased that you feel it that way. Thanks ! @Abena: I love this time of a day, late afternoon into early evening light. It is dynamic and magical. My thanks. @Stephen: I had precious few seconds to get this one, and didn't stop down the exposure the way I would have with more time, but the brilliance on the lake is a fairly accurate replication of what I saw. Summer ! Yeah... @Jason Politte: Nice to see you back around the site, buddy. Thanks a lot ! @Francisco Romero: Definitely the brilliance was my priority, and as mentioned above I wanted to isolate the kayakers but couldn't do it because of the traffic out there, so it is certainly a busy shot but in weighing it out, an accurate one as far as how Toronto hustles and bustles even on the water. Thanks a lot, Francisco. @Joyce: I even managed to keep the CN Tower out of this one, ha ha... this is summer, right here. People in this part of Canada really love the warm weather months, probably because our winters lately have been endless boring slogs of little snow but lots of dull pavement and barren trees. The first warm days of March or April will invariably bring about clothing overreactions, and you'll see people running around in shorts and t-shirts when they probably ought not to be ;-) @Martine: Merci beaucoup, Martine. @Anthony Morgan Lambert: Thanks a lot. @Ruthiebear: Thank you for the kind words ! @Khashayar: Thanks for the nice comment :) @Irene: Thanks, Irene. Birds always seem to get into these shots, even if I'm not trying for them :) @LauraS: I like that "Ah!" : thanks ! @Baldwin VW: Thanks for the nice feedback :)) @Judy aka L@dybug: Sounds great, Judy. We have beautiful weather up until about the end of September before temperatures start to dip, but sometimes we have nice weather right up 'til Halloween. Maybe I'll ask for that month of summery weather round about October first ! @Ryan Hammond: Thanks a lot, Ryan ! @franz: Big shining thanks. |
