Tenacity !

In the Elora gorge, ancient rugged stone walls that descend to the rivers seem to rebuff the efforts of things that wish to live there, and yet we see these trees everywhere... clinging to a slim purchase on the rock faces, so determined to live and to stand in defiance.

First of all welcome back Rick! I have been a bit absent myself these last few weeks but wonderful to have your images to admire again here on Am3. Great angle on this shot and a reminder that nature will always find a way to survive.

@Stephen: Thank you for that very classy welcome back and comment, Stephen. Life calls us away, but these simple and pure pleasures of photography and the sharing thereof with a global community of the like-minded, are a big part of where we derive a richer meaning from our lives.

Your narrative complements this beautiful photo in its description!! It is amazing how those trees are able to cling to the cliff like that. It would seem a steady breeze would cause them to tumble. I love the dramatic PoV as well.

@Steven: Your feedback is much appreciated; thanks, Steven !

I love your words here...Enjoying those B.C.images as well....we (Mrs J and I) are now relocated to the Seattle area where we lived long ago...I have been kicking myself for not acting more quickly to get myself reconnected with my relatives in Ontario and other provinces so I could escape the coming insanity of this monster who - along with his party of goons and insane followers - is preparing to take the helm of this ship....Hitler rises anew...
