In The Land Of Giants

A portion of Avatar Grove, a protected old growth rainforest on Vancouver Island near Port Renfrew. This is a place where towering centuries old trees take the breath away and bring tears to the eyes. It is a glimpse of Earth before the unthinking works of humankind began to wreak havoc.

Just love this immense feel and breath from your vantage point, diving one, in the big green !

The title is perfect also, I love how I was surprised to see the giant tree, and the
small people. I hope they were not too chilly being so close to the ground !

How reassuring and refreshing to see that parcels of these old growth forests have survived and will survive, I hope. There's no comparing their beauty and majesty with what grows once they have been cut down ...
Your photo captures this beauty and majesty perfectly and puts the humans in their place, too!

Wow!! The diameter of that tree's trunk is incredibly wide!! The people help give an easy visual comparison! Well framed and captured!

waste of a beautiful tree. Hopefully he will be hoisted on his own petard. He seems to be doing a pretty good job of that so far :)
