Black Stump Mountain #1

My brother and I found ourselves way up in logging country, outside of Port Renfrew. We suddenly spied a massive mountainside filled with blackened tree stumps that extended from the rough gravel road up into the tree line. It may have been a controlled burn due to containment efforts regarding voracious pine beetles that have been eating parts of Vancouver Island, or it may have been something else. It was certainly a photo opportunity.
