@Ronnie 2¢: I can almost guarantee the pizza will be cold.

@grouser: I always liked the look of cedar shake rooftops.

Phil Morris from Saskatoon, Toronto, NYC, Canada

The door would hardly tell anyone that the building was used, and yet
the well manicured grass and chair and flowers give the intrigue the
scene demands, beautiful !

@Phil Morris: "the intrigue the scene demands" : nailed in a nutshell, sir Phil, and my thanks for that !

Steven from Chicagoland, United States

Looks like a great place where someone can escape and enjoy some downtime and the simpler things in life. That chair looks inviting.

@Steven: Backwoods Nova Scotia... not an easy place during Winter but certainly lots of quiet for this humble home; thanks, Steven.

Irene from San Francisco, United States

Looks like no one is living there.
Great shot !
Sometimes I would love to live in the woods, but, not now I wouldn't, we have lots of fires in Northern California. I have ash in the trunk of my car.

9 Oct 2017 11:16pm

@Irene: Thanks, Irene. I love forests and they are often my favourite places to be... but yes, the risk of large scale fires is very real in certain parts of the world. My youngest brother owns a home at the base of a mountain near Kelowna British Columbia, and every year there are huge fires in the region. Stressful stuff.
