Hiking : Ghosts In The Mirror

Up above the waterfall, things were much calmer. I took a series of reflection images for upside-down flipping, something that many of us like to do for the different feeling it results in. I noticed two people on the other shore and thought they looked rather ghostlike, which made me stay with monochrome.

Calm to the point of mirror like if this is an inverted reflection. A nice diffused feel to it. One has to ask the question 'if they are not ghosts what are they doing on the other side if the bridge is closed?' :)

apologies here for reflecting the title. Blame it on short term memory loss :)

@grouser: I'm always glad for a grouser visit and comment, my friend. No apologizing necessary :-) This pond is near the park entrance and is separate from the river and bridge.

Hiro from Kyoto, Japan

very nice tones

@Hiro: Understated, but it was what I wanted for the mood. Thanks, Hiro.

Very moody reflection. Are those stars or snowflakes or what in the sky?

16 Dec 2017 1:31pm

@Ruthiebear: I took this photo across the surface of a large pond, and then flipped it upside down, so what you see in the "sky" was actually floating on the surface of the water. Thanks, Ruthie.

Steve Rice from Olympia, United States

What a gorgeous reflection image. The people do look a bit ghostly over there. ;-)

Amazing stillness with such a detailed reflection of the branches of the trees. And I find the dreamy effect in your image. Remarkable photo.
