Feathered Leaves

I heard them before I saw them, once upon a time during nightfall along the waterfront in Toronto. by the hundreds I heard them conversing. Finally I located the source of the sounds, above me. Very stealthy. A faint twinge of the Hitchcock classic rippled through me.

@Hiro: An example of not being a high quality image, but an interesting one. Thanks, Hiro.

The blue hour and a very sinister one at that! I can sense them watching you...

I like the eerie mood in capturing them in silhouette

I love the way the leaves seem to morph into the silhouetted birds. A very effective image and a bit creepy, too. ;-)

Wonderful colours in this nightscape!
I can imagine the racket they made ... just like the sparrows in the bushes around my bird feeder! You hear them, but you don't see them (other than in your image!).

Wow!! What a great find with an excellent title!! I actually thought I was looking at foliage! They certainly are taking up the tree like prime real estate. Just like Toronto's land below it. Thank goodness this tree was spared the axe. :-)

This is a wonderful image -, and your words really add to the drama by instilling a feeling, in my mind, of some stranfe beings in thise trees... The drama crested by Cicada’s in warm southern evnings is the sound I remember here.... like a thousand rattlesnakes!! Such an evocative image in every way! Beautiful!
