Denny Jump from Bellevue, WA, United States

He just wants people to know how important he (it) is!! This is a crazy cool find! Is this out by your little town? I Love it!!

@Denny Jump: Yes sir, this is in Elora adjacent to a bit empty field that is to be the site of a new residential development. Makes me chuckle.

Gérard Flayol from Allauch, France

It is to find it in case of fire during a flood .....

@Gérard Flayol: Positioned near the sign for a row boat... I like the way you think.

Steven from Chicagoland, United States

Too bad there isn't a huge mound of snow to make that sign very useful. :-)
Then again, maybe the lack of snow is a good thing? Happy ST!

16 Jan 2018 1:13pm

@Steven: Ha ha... no shortage of snow now, as I type this. Thanks as always for your visits and feedback.

barbod from ایران, Iran

very very nice

16 Jan 2018 1:23pm

@barbod: My thanks.

Ruthiebear from Titusville, NJ, United States

Happy ST. Near me we have these signs because snow gets piled and the hydrants are no longer visible.

16 Jan 2018 1:53pm

@Ruthiebear: Makes sense. This particular hydrant is servicing an empty field where a subdivision was mothballed a long time ago. It will come in handy if there's ever a wildfire there :)

Ronnie 2¢ from Atlantic Shores, United Kingdom

Yup, there sure is a resemblance !

16 Jan 2018 3:27pm

@Ronnie 2¢: I wonder why they didn't include a sign with a fire truck on it? Thanks, Ronnie.
