Hearts Galore

Posted by
Rick (Toronto, Canada) on 8 February 2018 in Miscellaneous.

An assortment from various forest walks around Ontario and Vancouver Island. I know, I know... a pretty ridiculous amount of found hearts in my life, and it only started happening about four years ago. I appreciate you following along in the spirit this is intended; love and positive vibes. Maybe a sense of the magic in our everyday lives.

Michael Skorulski from Toronto, Canada

The earth has decided to show that it agrees with your positive quest. Look and you shall find.

@Hiro: Very kind of you; thanks.

Steven from Chicagoland, United States

Excellent finds that you've captured here!! I cannot believe the size of that heart-shaped rock in the first picture!

8 Feb 2018 1:57pm

@Steven: Yeah, that one was huge. Also the one with the "left and right ventricle"... it was on the ancient forest floor at Avatar Grove near Port Renfrew on Vancouver Island. Those are small branches, rather than twigs, scattered around it. Thanks a lot, Steven.

Ruthiebear from Titusville, NJ, United States

Your heart images have made my days feel happy and kind. I am enjoying each and every heart! I am determined to pay more attention around me and look for hearts.

8 Feb 2018 2:27pm

@Ruthiebear: What a kind comment, Ruthie! Thanks so much and I hope you start to find heart shapes all around you.

Anna Cherer from LA ROCHELLE, France

Some are too big to take home ;-) I am quite jealous of your finds and your collection ! Incredible to have found all this since only 4 years ! I believe that Canada is the ground of love ;-)

8 Feb 2018 2:55pm

@Anna Cherer: Even the ones that come home will eventually make their way back to mama Earth. We merely borrow them to admire them and pay homage to our beautiful planet. I'm glad you like our collection so far. I am with the right partner and vice versa; it seems to be showing us just how lucky we are. Very nice words about my country, thank you! We are fortunate to live here.

Steve Rice from Olympia, United States

These seem to be some especially fine stone hearts. I've only found one of note.

8 Feb 2018 5:29pm

@Steve Rice: It's a really beauty, Steve!

Adela Fonts from Barcelona, Spain

I am a stone seeker in general. Only once have I found one with the heart shape. Congratulations for all you've found ...

8 Feb 2018 7:07pm

@Adela Fonts: I have a few foot-shaped pebbles in my collection, and a few other interesting ones, but the heart shapes are almost leaping out at us. Thanks very much, Adela.

Elaine Hancock from Olney, United States

These are just amazing! I am going to keep my eyes open and start looking for hearts!

8 Feb 2018 9:14pm

@Elaine Hancock: Thanks very much. I have little doubt that you will start to see them everywhere!
