Looking across the Don Valley at ongoing construction in the financial district of Toronto. I took this photo several years ago and the view has changed drastically already. I like the light here and that is why I share the image.

The light is indeed beautiful, the mist that can suggest pollution, less.

@Gérard Flayol: Thanks very much, and I can assure you this is not pollution.

Amazing atmosphere!

Anna Cherer from LA ROCHELLE, France

Beautiful layers and view in the mist ! most of the buildings were still under construction ! I recognize the CN Tower of course, and the building on the left at the edge of your composition !

@Anna Cherer: This is taken in the Don valley across the river. I will have to return for a new look at this because I know it will be vastly different. Thanks, Anna.

Marjolein from Enkhuizen, Netherlands

The trees in the foreground are a strong contrast to the buildings in the fog.
A nice picture.

@Marjolein: We are fortunate in Toronto to have a huge amount of trees all around the city. They make all the difference.

Great skyline.

@Ralf Kesper: Much more impressive when viewed on the lake or Toronto island. Thanks, Ralf.

The march of Time does seem to be in that direction !

A great city image. I like the mist and light. Like most big city's the skyline is always changing because of new construction.

8 Jan 2019 11:16am

@Shaun: I suppose we could say the bigger cities are never finished. Thanks, Shaun.

Yes lovely hazy layers and a great contrast between the needle and the sky scraper blocks

A nicely layered composition of this beautiful skyline! The fog helps add depth here as well.

SUperb mood and light. It almost could be reflective.

Steve Rice from Olympia, United States

An almost dreamy view, of the skyline, through the fog. I guess building upward is better than outward.

8 Jan 2019 7:38pm

@Steve Rice: Thank you, Steve. Yes, density downtown is better than continually spreading outward and gobbling up valuable vital farmland. Toronto and its adjacent neighbours grow at a scary rate, now over six million population in a relatively controlled area that needs to stop pancaking.

Impressive image. I like the different profiles. From the darkest to the lightest... Awesome!
